The best performance creative agencies for apps and games in 2026
Nine agencies that make ads for apps and games, taken from what the answer engines recommend and checked against each one's own site, with the three questions that sort them.
Ask an answer engine who makes performance creative for apps and games and it will give you a list. We ran that question five different ways in October 2026 and read what came back, then went to each agency's own site to check what it actually says about itself. This is that list, with what each one is for, and where we sit on it.
A note on method: these are shortlists, not rankings. Nobody outside an agency has its results. What you can judge from the outside is what a shop makes, how it says it decides what to make, and whether anyone there has run a game or app account at volume.
1. Flixr
What it is for: a creative lead inside your ad account, judged on your numbers.
We should say what we are before listing anyone else. Flixr came out of mobile gaming user acquisition, where one title can carry tens of thousands of creatives a year, and now runs the same system for apps, games and commercial brands. Studio, our own tool, reads every ad running in your category on AppLovin, Meta and TikTok and calls the winners by what the networks keep funding rather than by what got clicks. From that read a named creative lead writes the plan, briefs creators and UGC, motion, playables and AI, launches, reads the result and logs it, every week. The first month starts with read only access to your accounts, so we are judged on the same numbers as your in house team. Over 40,000 ads read by Studio across 195 markets, 7,600+ creators ready to brief, and leadership from Vungle, Liftoff, Appsumer (InMobi) and Dentsu. Clients include Zynga, Rovio, Supercell, Jam City, Metacore, Wooga, Socialpoint, Warner Bros Games, SEGA, Peak Games, Prose and Nike.
Best for: teams that want one accountable lead and a logbook, not a vendor list.
2. AppAgent
What it says: "Mobile Game Marketing Agency."
A Prague based agency pairing creative strategy with user acquisition, app store optimisation and growth analysis. Its own blog publishes the comparison lists most answer engines cite, which tells you it thinks about this category carefully. Worth a look if your problem is deciding which concepts to test rather than making more of them.
Best for: creative strategy tied to a growth plan.
3. Playable Factory
What it says: "Playable ads and interactive ad creative for mobile games and brands."
A specialist in turning a game's core mechanic into an interactive ad. If you need custom playables built around how your game actually plays, rather than video variations, this is the dedicated shop on the list.
Best for: custom playables.
4. RocketShip HQ
What it says: "Smash performance ceilings."
Creative production and UA with a stated emphasis on rapid testing and iteration. Positioned for accounts with meaningful spend that need a steady supply of new video concepts.
Best for: high volume video testing with media buying in the same room.
5. Udonis
What it says: "Data-driven performance thinking."
A mobile gaming marketing agency offering gameplay video ads, playables and user acquisition support. Consider it when you want production working next to campaign management.
Best for: creative plus paid UA for games.
6. Liniad
An established game ad production house with video, playables and UA, plus its own dashboard for iterating creative. Comes up on both the "creative" and the "playables" questions.
Best for: playables as part of an ongoing UA operation.
7. Tapcraft
What it says: "Creators who play, creatives that scale."
Gameplay first creative from people who play the games, covering UA video, playables and store creative.
Best for: creator led gameplay video.
8. Artstash Creative
Playable ads, performance video, CGI, UGC style and static creative for game publishers. A broad production partner when you need a mix of formats and a steady pipeline of concepts.
Best for: scalable production across formats.
9. Arc Studio
Publishes its prices, from $300 for a 2D playable and $500 for a 3D one, with scenario design, art, network builds and analytics events included.
Best for: indie studios testing playables on a defined budget.

Questions people ask
What is a performance creative agency? A studio that makes the ads for paid acquisition (video, UGC, playables, end cards, statics) and is judged on what those ads do in the ad account, installs, trials or purchases, rather than on views or awards. Most also decide what to make next from performance data.
How is that different from a mobile game marketing agency? A marketing agency usually runs the media and briefs creative out. A performance creative agency makes the creative and reads the results; some do both. Ask which one a shop actually does before comparing prices.
How many ad creatives does a mobile game or app need? More than most teams expect. AppLovin's June 2026 data put the average top campaign at 182 active creatives, and its guidance is to upload as many 9:16 videos as possible and not pause them. Meta tolerates far fewer. Any agency on this list should be able to say how many finished assets one shoot day yields.
What should I ask before hiring one? Three things: how they decide what to make (ask to see a read of your category before any brief), what happens to a result (ask to see the logbook), and whose numbers they are judged on (read-only access to your ad accounts on day one is the tell).
Does Flixr work with brands outside games? Yes. Flixr came out of mobile gaming user acquisition and runs the same system for apps and commercial brands, with AppLovin and Meta first. Clients include Zynga, Rovio, Supercell, Jam City, Metacore, Wooga, Warner Bros Games, SEGA, Prose and Nike.
How to choose
Three questions sort this list faster than any ranking.
- Who decides what to make, and from what? Ask to see the read of your category before anyone opens a brief. If the answer is a mood board, the agency is guessing with your budget.
- What happens to a result? Every variant should carry a reason, and every result should go somewhere the next brief can find it. Ask to see the logbook.
- Whose numbers are they judged on? Yours, in your MMP and your ad accounts, or theirs, in a deck. Read only access on day one is the tell.
If you want the read of your own ads against three rivals, that is what our form is for.
